Making features out of clay for alice mosaics

Here is some work by the students made in clay and painted with underglazes. When they are dry they will be fired and then glazed.

Above: A rose bush by Selina -

above: Made by Isabella and Ashlee.
This ceramic feature has been made in two halves so that it doesn't break.
It will be reassembled on the mosaic.

Above: Roses by Emily. Emily is painting them red. She made them by making strips of clay and shaping them round and round.

Above: Hearts by Kristen. These will be used in the mosaic design.

Above: Alice's head, by Samantha. When this photo was taken, she was in the process of painting on the underglazes.
